Father’s Day DIY Stamped Leather Wallet
Materials: Hammer, scrap leather, leather stamps, strong chord/thread, leather awl, needle.  I got all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.  You can also check on amazon for good leather working supplies.
1. Measure out your pieces.  For this wallet I used two same sized pieces for the front of the wallet and the middle where money goes, and then two smaller, sturdier pieces where cards and ID’s go.  The two larger sized pieces measure 10x4 inches, and the smaller pieces measure 5x3.  You can also trace an existing wallet and make the smaller pieces accordingly, or do without and have a one panel wallet.
2.  After all your pieces are cut, wet the piece to be stamped completely, and then let it fully dry.  Next, figure out your desired stamp design and hammer away! There are lots of good designs online, and you don’t need many stamps to make a cool design.  I only used one for this design.
3.  Use your awl to poke holes around the entire outline of your wallet, including the small pieces that will be attached on the inside.  Make sure you only sew the inside of those pieces to the inside piece of the wallet, so as to not sew the entire thing shut! I also sewed along the top part of the wallet to make it a bit sturdier.
4.  All finished! tie off your sewing and give to Dad or whoever to enjoy!
